You mean Ivwshane's? Just ask him to make an account for you.

As for Sabin's, I don't know if he still has his up, the last few times I tried to log in I couldn't connect. It's been ages since I actually downloaded something from him

Yeah, about my ftp.

Just to let everyone know, it's a private ftp and only valid for contributing members of the emulation community and long standing pcb members (including you geese). So try not to spread it around Hopefully once I finish my DC collection I'll be able to open it up a little more but for now it's only for special people

I've ripped exactly 76 of them in ISO + MP3 format. If you want BIN + CUE then you'll just have to download somewhere else . Peace all.

Download a cue sheet maker. Or, you can make one and just edit that everytime you need a cue sheet. Peace.

So, what are the requirement(s) to gain access to ivwshane's FTP? I'm not sure of his definition of "contributing" members. I try to contribute, heh :D

Contributing to the emu scene= Running an emu site that offers something of substance, ie: a message board with over 50 members, a site with roms. Someone who has a ftp with a good amount of roms on it. Any open source emu developer or a devolper of a free and released emu. Or as I said long standing pcb members such as Pd or adidas, were, jewboy, and many others.

Even if those requirements are met I also look at the overall character of a person, if you appear to be a jerk then no access, why? because mean people suck!

The main reason for such restrictions is simply because I don't have enough bandwidth:(

hmm, I'm sure I could whip up an FTP to host, say at night, to lighten the load of your site. (heh, that rhymes). I mean, I've only got ADSL, which has an upload speed of 25-40 kbps, but it's no problem. The only drawback is that I don't have a static IP address. But if this interests you, please let me know :D

You don't need a static ip. I have a dynamic one and use dns2go.com, it's free and easy to setup.

Thanks, ivwshane. I registered, and now, I need to setup an FTP host program. What's a good one?

Alright, I've got FTP Serv-U installed and configured. I'd like to start with about 5 accounts for now, and go from there because my upload speeds are limited, and I plan to run the server when I'm either asleep, or not at my desk. The first 2 accounts will be for ivwshane and DamianMoran. Ivwshane, why don't you recommend 3 other "contributing members" for me :D

Heh pretty neat. Would take some load off Shane's now that Sabin seems to have taken a hiatus. How much space can you give? Maybe you should just put all ROMs on it for the time being.

No problem. I can easily give up 5-10 GB on my drive (maybe more). Will that suffice? If more is needed, I've got a 13 GB hd that's not being used that I can format, and use as well.
