Next Nebula (v2.0) will have Windowed GUI

Postby Damian on Sun Jan 27, 2002 10:48 pm

Seems Elsmi is doing a major rewrite for version two, and due to popular demand we shall now have a Windows friendly Nebula. This should bring back all those that have changed sides to Kawaks since triple buffering .

You mean it will have a dialog box type of interface? That would be very nice... I really don't like the NRX reminiscent design.

Next Nebula (v2.0) will have Windowed GUI

Postby Pdaimaoh on Sat Mar 02, 2002 9:21 am

it's shit

and I don't mean 'the' I mean it fucking sucks

it fucks up my computer to unload it from the zipfile!

it fucks up my computer to open the folder the files are in!

it crashes my computer when I try to run nebula
so far, the best I've gotten is to the new gui and then the nifty little annoying hourglass thing won't go away

not to mention, after opening the folder, my mouse drags like the machine is being hellishly bogged down, yet the good ol' HD light isn't going nutz like every other instance of this annoying problem

finally it goes away, starting the emu does it
finally that goes away but the hourglass won't
and if I try to right click the .exe just to see the properties it locks up for a long ass time, and then selecting properties makes it lock up even longer (past my patience level, as I shut off my PC)

ES has said there are bugs, others have said it too
ES says a new version that fixes this bullshit coming soon...

It works fine on my system, however I can't get it to go into full screen mode.

I'm not sure if I like the transparency effects though. They look good but at the same time it's distracting.

You can turn off transparency in the esc menu, or at least that was how you did it.

left alt + enter = fullscreen

I see what PD is saying about the bugs.... there are some annoying glitches in this release. Ever since I tried to load X Men vs Street Fighter (which refuses to work) it's been acting strange.
