With just days to go before the DS Lite launches in Europe, Nintendo has confirmed to GamesIndustry.biz that a shipment of units bound for the UK has been stolen.
Rumours of the theft began to emerge last week, with some reports claiming that the shipment was worth GBP 1.26 million (EURO 1.84 million).
Well I only have one thing to say about this. CUNT.
If I dont get my Lite Im going to be most upset. But think about it, lets do some basic maths. Using drugs as an example they work out street value by taking it down to the smallest weight for distribution. Say they had a raid and scored themselves 10kg of weed. THey would take that all the way down to 8th of an ounce weight, work out the cost and then there you have your street value.
10kg of weed
3.5g in an 8th
£15 per 8th
That leaves you with a street value of roughly - £42k to £43k
Ok so.....DS's with a street value of £1200000
Average street value per DS is £100.
Sweet christ on a bike thats about 12,000 Nintendo DS units.
Who the fuck can shift 12,000 DS's while managing to keep a low profile and if they find this motherfucker, do I get my DS Lite at a discount because technically its second hand?
