Not really CPS 2 related, but it's Capcom related...

hmmm

yeah, the controller is fine for platformers (megaman)

and I'm sure it's fine for resident evil

it DOES have a possible 'six button layout'
and I know there was a lot of hate mail about the DC pad and capcom six button layouts...(as well as all the other POS four face button pads out there...wtf happened to the sega saturn six face buttons? more buttons is good!)

could be a street fighter game

SF4 might be cool
if Nintendo really IS developing arcade hardware, I think that's what drew capcom to sega...sega's hardware always had a nice and easy (well usually) way of implementing 2D gameplay
while certain 'other' system's arcade hardware was awful for 2D stuff

perhaps nintendo is pushing at hardware that goes both ways?

Damn, if Capcom makes some good games for Gamecube I might rethink what system to buy next....

Nah, probably not.

I'm still not gonna buy one. But I do have to say that 2D rules with many fighting games but not all.

Take Soul Calibur. Just wouldnt work in 2D now would it. Then again, look at that SF2 game for the PS2 that was like a 2D fighter only in 3D. It was a big pile of shite!

Capcom are the kings of the 2D fighter and I think they should try and go all out and make a truly amazing 2D game. MvsC2 impressed me enough. A lot more than SF3 Thrid Strike so I think they should go for that kind of thing. THose sweet backgrounds and great animation. Same goes for CvsS2.

I still prefer SNK but thats another arguement...

Hear about Capcom rehashing every Resident Evil game? From part 1,to Zero,Code Veronica all the way to RE4.Who the fuck is going to buy them all? Id rather they contrened on RE4 first then worry about the conversions of the older games untill later.

Or perhaps they are slowly building on keping the RE francishe in the public eye now that Devil May Cry is doing the rounds?

RE as a series is well past its sell-by date.I dont think Sony are too concerned the franchise has jumped platform.

But none of that matters,Because DevilMay Cry aint KOF98.I need to prove my manliness by beating some pimply face warez kiddies at it on netplay.

I was never a big Resident Evil fan, I don't even really liked that whole genre of games (Alone in the Dark, Resident Evil, etc.)

Are you Airthrow from Geoshock? I know he brags about his KOF98 skills.

RE can take a running jump for all I care. Devil May Cry rules!!

KOF98 can kiss my arse and step aside for CvsSNK2 and MvsC2.

IMO of course lol
