"I installed Slackware Linux 'bout 2 months ago on a 486 laptop. Since I'm a poor 14-year old I had to download the whole 150 megs from ftp.slackware.com on a school computer, put it on floppies and copy each disk to my harddrive. I expected the installing part to be even more of a challenge--It wasn't. So you don't get a graphic setup and automatic this-and-that, but I learned more in those 2 weeks then in the 4 years I used DOS."
