This one particularly caught my eye:

My favorite of the day has to be the guy at the MAME board who took Galibert and Belmonts 2006/2010 predictions seriously -

"I don't mean to sound like a d**k, but in all of the Mame WIP's I've seen I have never seen a completion estimation, and now we have two in the last couple of weeks."

Thank God those dates aren't real, unfortunately I took them seriously as well but still thought they'd be emulated a lot sooner than that.

Are you referring to your avatar? LOL

I don't know how anyone can like Marylin Manson... Honestly. I'm not just referring to his demeanor, either. Yes, he's a freak. But his music is a little fucked up as well.

I Like his music, its nillistic and off-centre,just the effect he wanted to acheive.
I dont expect TOOL or Fear Factory-type musicanship out of them, because that isnt the type of band they are.

I wouldnt say all his songs are great, nor
are they the best band in the world, but their current line is their strongest yet.

You have to respect someone who at least speakshis mind: the likes of Linkin Park,Limp Dipshit,OPM,Crazy Town and groups like that have nothing intresting to say .

No offence to anybody that likes him but to me his music sounds like a talentless dimwit screaming at the top of his lungs into a mic.

My girlfriend likes her metal and indy stuff but even she doesnt like him or his music.

I'm a raver through and through so I therefor like Drum & Bass and Jungle (cos its a good laugh), House aint bad and real trance isnt too bad either. Not that Ibiza trance shit, thats just commercial house as far as I'm concerned. Garage is the absolute pits of dance music and should be burned at the stake. Hip-hop and rap are cool but what really gets to me is new R&B and Soul????

R&B? Since when the fuck did dane fucking bowers ever have any blues in his music?!? Destiny's child is soul?!? Fuck off is it!! They wouldnt know real soul if it smacked them in the face. Aretha Franklin sing real soul girls! I just wish they would create their own name for the crap they produce instead of trying to cash in on other peoples music.

Sorry I've started ranting.

Music for me is:

Drum n bass
Jungle
Rap
Hip-Hop
Real old Soul
Real old Rhythm & Blues
Real old Blues
Folk Rock (Richard Thompson, Sonny Landreth)
House/Hard House
Trance
And a bit of classic Rock n roll. Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead? Yeah!!

Um....how did I get here???

Without blues there wouldnt be any Rock/Metal period.

There wouldnt be any rap metal either
(WHAT A SHAME!)

I agree, todays R+B is anything but. The problem lies again with fucking Puff Daddy
.He introduced the world to "Hip Hop Soul" that mutated into this new R+B thing, when he signed up Mary Jane Blige. No disrespect to her,but thats when the term Rythmn and Blues
lost its meaning.Someone shoot R KELLY!!

On the other hand, anyone who thinks Elvis
invented Rock and Roll is also full of
liquidfied waste material.

Real old blues. Yeah. BB King, Albert King, Buddy Guy etc.

I also like a good mix of blues and rock, like Stevie Ray Vaughn or The Allman Bros., or to a lesser extent, Led Zepelin.

Rap metal, Blah. The only group that I like under that genre is Rage Against the Machine, who had rap and guitars mixed in their music long before most of the bands today. They weren't the first to do it, I know.

I like them because they actually had something to say in their lyrics, it's not just fluff like the rap/metal bands today.
