Playstation2 favourites.....what are yours??

OK OK I gave into the pressure of the imminant release of Grand Theft Auto 3, Tony Hawk 3, Dave Mirra 2 and many more and picked up myself a nice brand spankin' new PS2 with 2 pads a 2 games.

GT3 and SSX

Apart from those 2 what other good looking games are there out there? I'm not really up on whats hot for the PS2.

I don't really know I've only played mine three times. I have gran turismo 3 and capcom's onimusha (which is still unopened).

I haven't played many games since I don't own one.

I like Twisted Metal Black and Gran Turismo 3 A Spec.

Right, half the games people have mentioned arnt even nearly out in the UK so I dont have to worry about them.

All I am after is the ones I already mentioned above. I got Extreme G 3 yesterday which is pretty good but really bloody difficult. The Bouncer is shit.

I play SSX more than anything else at the mo.

one guncon game MAYBE released? JSRF not even out yet?

FFX 'plays like an interactive movie' ?

sorry, but the PS2 ain't worth my time yet, not until the NEO5 or something
so I can KNOW that import games will play
or at least wait until the US versions of the games I want show up

because if Guncon games start appearing, but have lightgun support removed
I will be both angry and not inclined to ever have a PS2

Silent Scope with the pad??? Oh please!!!

As far as I'm concerned though, light gun games just dont have enough to keep my interest for long enough. They just arnt deep enough for me. HOTD2 still gets the odd play but only on a stoner night at a friends place mostly.

I am an avid THPS fan though so THPS3 will be an absolute gem for me. Plus Dave Mirra 2 which should rock.

Point blank has enough depth for me. I think it's one of the better gun games out there with the most replay value.

Well...Time Crisis II comes with a gun at least so you know that one is ok. And it's only $10 more than a regular game.

Considering a lousy PS2 pad is $40 U.S., it seems like a deal to me.

PB is the best gun game ever, and it's because of the replay value (and the cuckoo's and octopi stages...)

but lightgun games on the whole are just a nice release for me so I don't have to shoot people that make my life worse than it usually is...

kinda like crazy taxi, it's just a quick fix kinda thing

so TC2 is out in america?
plus, the original guncon2 was a sleek black motherfucker
now it's some bright orange freak device that will stick out like a sore thumb???
I don't have an EC with doors anymore, so all my stuff has to be at least partially in view...D'OH!

I got Dave Mirra 2 today. Um..... If you were considering it then dont bother.

Yeah its got nice big levels. Yeah its got a smooth frame rate and nice graphics, but...

Anybody that played the original game and got annoyed with it for the same reasons I did will see that all they have done is rehash the first game as it still has all those annoying little flaws in it.

Bugger!!

Why cant they do like Tony Hawk 3 and build the game from the ground up again. Fucking cheap skates!!!
