Hands up all those with Capcom vs SNK 2

Lets discuss this game shall we?

Oh a quick question about Capcom fighters in general. Is there a way in any of these games to play Dramatic battle mode with 3 players? I ask because I'm too good and nobody will play me so I thought 2 could team up against me some time.

Now on to Capcom vs SNK 2...

Favourite grooves, what the Ex grooves do?

Best characters

Secrets unlocked

Anybody???

Is there an online manual somewhere? Street fighter is just getting way to complicated for me now a days.

in the thread of sabin's where /me downloads CvS2
has some discussion

the game rules
the Ex grooves are whatever you want them to be

I put the 3 level superbar with the just defense or the parry and add in air blocking and/or dashing

it sucks that you only get such a limited choice in options for your EX groove

there is an option mode with more tweaking available

ROCK HOWARD RULES!
apparently Haohmaru has his rip off maniac uppercut
the true bosses are sadistic

I'm sure all the secrets are based on GP and bosses
I got G. Rugal and S. Gouki by beating them
I dunno what I did to get the Groove Edit mode, but I think that was my highest GP scoring up to that point

I'm told that getting both bosses unlocks the boss survival mode
and I think they said that beating the boss survival or beating it well gives you those advanced options (I got S.Gouki before my VMU was set to save, so I need to get him again to confirm this)

I don't know exactly how I unlocked the groove edit mode either, but I do know that I was using a three player team and that I had in the neighborhood of 1500 groove points at the game's end. After I defeated regular Rugal (not god Rugal) I got to make a custom groove.

What are grooves and how do you use them? Are they like alpha counters or something?

Grooves are like styles of fighting taken from different games.

The standard Capcom groove allows Rolling, Dashing, Air Blocking, Technical hits and one other thing too.

One of the SNK grooves allows side stepping moves, counter attacks. They all have their advantages and disadvantages.

I managed to beat God Rugal but the one after that slammed me completely. I hate cheap ass moves that strip your entire energy bar.

dramatic battle is only in the alpha games

alpha 3 has a great one

I can't remember if both the others have it or just one
I think one was limited to Ryu and Ken vs Vega(bison)

Alpha had a hidden Ryu,Ken vs Bison. Zero 2 Alpha had a hidden one with shared energy bars for both fighters. Alpha 3 has a hidden one with separate energy bars. On Zero 2 Alpha and Alpha 3 all 3 punch buttons and start or all 3 kick buttons and start (at start screen) selects Dramatic and Survivial modes.

Can it be played 3 player though is what I mean. I.e my sister and nephew againts me.

Man if thats possible, it would ROCK!!
