Ok, well we've been here for a while. Been quite a nice home for myself and many of you. I am of course talking about ReadyHosting, our host for these 1+ years.

I guess you get what you pay for, that is:

No PHP support
No mySQL support
No remote CHMOD
Slow speed
Not a brilliant uptime rate.

I personally would love to change servers, one of the reasons I don't put all that much effort into this site is because I can't use many/any scripts with it. Everytime I do I have to make an international call to the US and ask them to!

It would make it so much easier to update emulators using a script that does it in a few seconds, rather than uploading the hogs on my slow connection.

The price? Advertising, a standard banner on every page + 1 popup. But hopefully no pop-ups on the forums.

This means we could get a very modern forum with many more features, that is much more speedy. Also downtime would be greatly reduced, and I can think of quite a few scripts right now that I would love to add onto this site.

Any thoughts?

If this gets moving, which I frankly hope it will, we need to act fast, so please tell me what you think.

Popups are evil, but it's your site ^_^

Anything would be better than this server though, the only reason I don't post at these forums much is that they're so rediculously slow to surf through.

It wouldn't bother me any to move.

My vote is yes

...unless this server would be using anti-ad blocker...

No anti-ad blocker I would say, and the popups would be every other page or something like ZTNET.
