Desktops

Decided to do this as I just got a new (lame?) theme and would like a few opinions. Would also be curious to see a few others:

Ok there are a couple of problems with what I see.
1)You are using real player
2)apparently you have a Mac
3)You have AOL
4)You have Kazaa installed

I think he's using AOL because it's the most cost effective. I also know for a fact that he doesn't have a Mac [img]images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img] That's got to be the theme he downloaded for XP

Also, there is a fake Cydoor .dll that lets you replace the spyware with a harmless dummy file in Kazaa

Damian, I know you really despise Geoshock, but they do have a long thread like this there...

Anyways, here is my most recent desktop (caution: actual size, so the image is quite large.

My desktop normally (with hidden taskbar, icons, and quick launch bar.

I can tell your system isn't optimized at all.

Adidas's desktop is closer to mine minus all the system tray icons.

The only things that I allow to start with Windows are the audio devices and Norton, because I would end up starting them anyway.

The other two icons are (obviously) my internet connection and (far less obvious) NewsPro

my desktop is the 'sandstone' background tiled at 1024x768
and cluttered like all hell
after a lot of folders and shortcuts to other shit, there are about 100 zipfiles that go beyond the boundary of the desktop (in fact, I don't even rember what half of them are, and I supposedly download only really cool seeming stuff straight to my desktop...and then move it to a better place once it's figured out...

Only three?? I have seven different versions of Gens on my drive right now... of course they're in the Genesis folder where they belong though

2 reasons i cant show my desktop.
1- i dont know how to take a shot of it without a camera and i dont have a scanner.

1)all you need to do is hit the print screen button on your keyboard and open up MS paint and click edit->paste

2)I'm sure if you emailed it to DM he would up it for you.

I must be dreaming here, but those icons are identical to Windows ME, or did you just get some new ones? Also what is that MP3 player?

Photoshop 7?? Is it beta etc. Please tell me how it performs and put on FTP!!

so three is all there is..

cept the two in my megadrive folder, which is when I got sick of downloading new Kgens every day...

maybe YOU need to clean up your folder?

I didn't mind those 2K icons, but I do like the XP ones more, so I'm using them instead. Aside from the spiffy icons there was nothing else I liked about XP over 2K... 2K is just more stable, and in the end that's what I want.

Here's mine anyways... and yeah, it ain't to fancy!

TLK what did you do to get the winxp icons? replace the shell.dll?

I've been looking for a way to do that for a while.
