Thanks! I just turned 25 five days ago. It's pretty easy if you are already familiar with computers or if you find that you learn applications pretty quickly. What really helps is experience but since I didn't have any and no one would hire me without it, I had to practice on my own. That's the reason I've done all the ftp stuff and web stuff and it's the reason why I have a little home network, so I can practice.

I'll be 25 in feb. I might look into that when I come back from Australia. My mum's fella did that course a while back and has a 4 pc network in the room next to mine. ITs all NT though so I cant play games on it [img]images/smiles/icon_sad.gif[/img]

Anyway, I was gonna get myself another pc at some point so I could network them but his network would be good for practice.

It does make me laugh though that I seem to be able to fix PCs more successfully than he does. The amount of times I've fucked my pc and had to spend hours trying to fix it after he has given up. I havent failed yet.

Also, he didnt have a clue what could be wrong with my busted CD ROM. LOL

Anyway, I was thinking of trying that course or a web design thing or something like that.

Doesnt it suck though that you need a bit of paper to proove yourself these days.

I know more about computers than a lot of the tech guys where I work yet because I am completely self taught I dont stand a chance of getting a job working with computers.

that does suck, I've encountered that at several jobs

first, when I knew more about networking than the guys that set up our damn network that always crashed and shit

then, when I was obviously the smartest guy in the whole damn building, some OTHER guy was still the CEO

I wanna go back to drug dealing
I had all the customer service, managerial, and execution skills I needed
and I never had to get it in writing to make a ton of cash

damn amsterdam cuttin off the licenses!
