Shit, That company has the video/DVD rights to ALL of the G1 episodes (Including Headmasters, Masterforce and Victory) and they are going to use them.

Fuck, I need to get a job.

I see what you are getting at but I seriously doubt we will be seeing G1 or G2 or anything really anytime soon.

They mention Transformers the Movie but that was recently re-released in the states on DVD and video so that does not count. I have to ask myself is the userbase really there? If they did release a DVD with G1 epidsodes it would probably contain about 4 out of 20 odd, would people be willing?

I might be one of them, but let us compare another cartoon of the same period that was just as popular My Little Pony. What would your reaction be to a mass market release of that?

Did you actually read that?

quote:
Originally from the article linked above:
I'm happy to inform you that you can expect season 1 to be released in the UK some time in the Autumn, just in time for Christmas!

The article specifically states that Maverick have got the material and they are going to use it. And it does say box set, so that would be multiple DVDs with all 16 season 1 episodes on.

Anyway, if this doesent come off ill get the American season 1 box set imported when it comes out later this year.

As a quick sidenote, the fact the TF:TM was in amazon.co.uk's top 5 selling videos for about 3 months is a pretty good indication that there is a market for TF videos and DVDs.
