"Three hundred shops are closed in Jalalabad in reaction to complaints from parents and conservatives.

Police in the Afghan city of Jalalabad claimed to have closed more than 300 local video game shops earlier today, according to an Associated Press report. The shops were said to be "corrupting the morals" of young people. The action was ordered by the government of the eastern Nangarhar province, which is headed by a conservative governor.

There have been other similar crackdowns in post-Taliban Afghanistan. Last December video game stores were closed by an orthodox Muslim judge before reopening with an over-16 age restriction."

The stupid crack down on harmless violent videogames, instead of actually looking around themselves and realizing that the moral-problems are THEIR fault.

I would hate to live there period. Too fucking hot.
