*UPDATE* Will someone please test my ftp? try again please

I'm setting up an ftp and I want make sure people can get to it. I'm behind a firewall so if you are too it shouldn't work for you. But if you are not then it should work. There is currently nothing for you to download and I haven't given this account permission to do anything except list the directory, so if you get in all you should see are some folders like "uploads", "downloads" and maybe some others. If you can get in please post a reply here. Thanks.

I'm having problems with passive mode, but my piece of crap ftp client doesn't let me turn it off.

I connected fine, though. Once my client gives the pasv command nothing happens though. Shouldn't be a problem for anyone who can turn it off. I know I'll have to get a new ftp client now that I know I can't turn off pasv.

Ok, I downloaded SmartFTP and the problems are over.

It seems to be working fine now.

Is the ftp still there? Just tried it and couldn't log on, I assume you have closed the connection.

Yeah I closed the ftp. I don't know if my isp scans for it so just to be on the safe side I closed. I'll reopen it later and put it on a different port.

Are you on cable? I don't think any DSL isps scan for ftps, since if you have DSL you have your own bandwith and won't be bogging anybody down.

It's actually fiber to my house then it turns into cable.

For some reason it's not letting me use port 9911 or I haven't set all the correct ports to be configured. I'll try it again later tonight (5:30) right now it's 2:44pm over here.

Still no luck, this is very strange as Adidas and I easily managed to set up one. Maybe if you use the software we did? I can't remember which maybe he can.

Ok, it was 96 ftp. We didn't have any firewalls but I do now so if you have problems with that (if you try it). I might have a go too. Which firewall do you use?

It's a linksys router. I guess I'll just put it back to port 21. Go ahead and give it a try.

I'll be leaving it on port 21 just so I can have it open. It's up and running, unfortunatly I don't have anything on it but that should be fixed later on today (5:30 pst).
