Definately haven't played this game enough to give it a full review, but from what I've played so far, it's much much much better than I thought it would be.

It's quite a meaty game, I had to overclock my graphics card a little bit to get it running smoothly on medium settings at high resolution but get it anyway it's good.

Yeah everybody has been wittering on about this over at the 3dgpu forums I visit.

They seem to rate it a lot but they are also reporting all sorts of crash bugs and other problems. Also its one hell of a resource muncher and the only person on that forum to get a high res smooth game is playing it with a 512mb 7900 overclocked card.

Theres a guy reporting to play on the same system I have who gets a slideshow frame rate during battles which really put me off.

The Game is pretty good on the xbox 360, i rented it last week, its almost the same as morrow wind but the graphics are heaps better, Just about no visible hard lines on any of the characters. I like the customising of my character, made him into a round-fat faced nord.

Im not too into games like these. Theres too much to fuck about with and thats what puts me off. You can ruin your character before actually even entering the game world by setting it up wrong and crippling him so that he ends up being a character with broad skill but specialising in nothing.

Or at least I've found that to be the case with games like Never Winter Nights. I looked up a character faq after starting the game and basically discovered that the character I'd made, no matter how cool he sounded was basically crap. The species I chose couldnt handle magic properly and was only average with bows and since I'd made some sort of wizard with bow capabilities I was buggered but nowhere in the setup did it warn me of such a thing.

I think it adds to the fun. Anything that your character isn't "good at" can be worked on. So if your shit at swords, you can train by killing things with a sword or by going to journeymen who will up your sword stats for a bit of gold. My thief for example was shit with heavy armour, he couldn't sneak with it on and it would break easily. Eventualy after a bit of wear (a massive amount of bit) he's getting quite good at making it not break.

LMAO!!

Ok ok I might have to try this game sometime because people are kicking off about it all over the internet.

The Xbox360 version looks ok too but since I chose to buy a new LCD monitor instead of a 360 yesterday I might just try the PC version.
