The long awaited Multi Theft Auto server and client for GTA San Andreas has been released.

Almost 8 months ago we started working on a multiplayer modification for a brand new game, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, called Multi Theft Auto (MTA). This release is the first MTA we've ever released based on our new revolutionary â€œBlueâ€ technology and features the gamemode â€œRaceâ€.

This release also features a very easy to use map editor allowing anyone to create a map containing spawnpoints, checkpoints, objects and â€œpickupsâ€. The maps created can be added to an MTA server and played online with your friends at any time.

I've never even tried it on the PC, because I know on mine it would s-s-s-s-st-stutter like crazy

It ran like shite on the missus' Athlon2k although I have to say the gfx card in that machine was shit.

In fact, it doesnt run 100% smoothly even on my system but I think thats more down to the gfx engine than anything else.
