I assume these are gfx and not mobo drivers?

If you got them, did you notice any improvements?

Yup they are for graphics cards and there are specific improvements for CoD2 and Q4. I personaly noticed a slight increase in CoD2 (haven't tested Q4 as of yet).

Ok I'll have to get on that one then.

I went and bought some nice new speakers from Richer Sounds the other day reduced from £70 per pair to £10. Always got an eye for a bargain me so I bought 2 pairs. Anyway, the magnetic shielding isnt up to much so I've used one pair as rear speaker for my TV and the other pair will serve as rear speakers for the PC eventually and front speakers if I ever get round to getting an LCD monitor.

If I can remember to stop playing around with trying to convert phono leads into normal bare + and - wires to get them working with my Creative amp then I'll try and download the drivers.

How far have you got with this game Zep? I cant get past that US mission towards the end of the game where you have to defend a bunker on a hill and get attacked from all sides. ITs a right pain in the arse!!!

I stupidly started the game on normal setting and finished it no problems in about 4 days hard core playing. Big mistake really as the game feels much more realistic (it's more fun anyway, I wasn't in the war) on the harder difficulty settings. I think this is the way it was meant to be played: fucking tough.

Yeah I got stuck on the yank levels on normal difficulty I think.

Havent played it in a while but while I was playing it there were certain times when even though I survived an attack it was obvious that would have killed a person so I just let my character die and start again. Felt a bit more realistic that way.

I quite like how there are no med packs but the way that you can survive a grenade and then regain health just buy duck and cover behind a tin of beans is a bit silly.

What would have been cool is if they had medics in the squad and you had to protect them if you wanted any chance of getting some health back.

Hmm yeah that is a good idea. Maybe if any mods come out for it they might do something like that.

Doesnt seem too practical for the more arcade style shooting action they put in the game though. Adds to the realism, takes away from the full on action.

Has anybody bothered tweaking this game? I just stuck it on 1024x768 and maxed the bar and left it at that. Probably get it looking much nicer though.

Its not that amazing. The 7800s are looking nice and they arent all that much really. Not sure if I might try an ATI card next though or maybe go for SLI (yeah right lol)

I should try pissing about with CoD though, Im sure I could get the textures looking nicer.
