probably a really stupid question

but i'll ask anyway...

i have a really good system, but the problem is i have a crappy Geforce mx420 video card. while it can do most basic things, it can't do Pixel Shading and Bump mapping. i remember back when i had a low end system and you needed a high end card for stuff, you could use a glide wrapper to fix graphical issues. is it possible to do that in this case? or is it a hardware thing. i'm just wondering, so i know if i have to spend money on a new card.

If you have a crap card then you have a crap card, nothing you can do about that then get shot of it and buy someting decent.

Glidewrappers just made non-glide cards talk to glide programs like the craptacular UltraHLE, they didnt make shit cards good. Remember that was back when accelerator cards were relatively new, 3DFX were an industry player rather then the industry joke and N64 emulation was all about a bunch of warez idiots ripping off new games with shit emulators on incapable machines.
