I've had this a few times and its always video files, Restart your machine in safe mode and kill it from there.

Don't let windows show a preview of the file in the left pain.

My experience has been that when I click on a file (multimedia) to delete it I can't because windows has generated a little preview of it on the side and because that preview program is using my file I get the "file in use" error. So I either change folder views so that no information is shown on the side or I resize the window so that the preview can't be seen and then I delete the file.

In my experience with kazaa, files like that can contain viruses.

Do like Yak says and delete them in safe mode by pressing F8 after the mem check on start up.

Then run a full system scan with your virus checker.
