This slipped under my radar until today, but Revolution Games has declared both Lure of the Temptress and Beneath a Steel Sky as freeware.

LOTT can be downloaded from thier site here - http://www.revgames.com/_display.php?id=10

The data files for BASS for use with SCUMMVM are available in both floppy and CD versions here - http://www.scummvm.org/downloads.php

Nice to know that at least one company knows what to do with thier old games rather then hording them away and deploying the lawyers whenever somebody puts them up for download.

Havent got round to trying LOTT, but BASS is worth a go. Some of the stuff takes some thinking about and you can die occasionally, but its not as heavy going as most Sierra games are. Voice acting is good for a laugth, almost everybody is a northener and it doesent exactly match the text on quite a few occasions.

Even if your not interested in BASS, SCUMMVM is well worth the download just to play your old Lucasarts games. Does a similar sort of job to the windows interpretor used in the new versions of Sam'n'Max and Full Throtte - Makes them windows native, takes away the hassle of pissing around with DOS soundcard configerations and tarts up the graphics if thats your cup of tea.

In related news, Lucasarts just axed Full Throttle 2. After seeing the abomination that is Escape from Monkey Island, i'm inclined to think they are doing us a favor.
