Postby ivwshane on Sun Apr 20, 2003 10:44 am

Just in case anyone cares, my server is down:(

Preliminary results show it's a hard drive failure, luckily it's not one of the storage drives. But it is a scsi drive:(

If all goes well it will be back up by monday.

Well I just realized that the hard drive that died was also the one that had all the ftp info on it, which means I will have to recreate the ftp:(

So everyone that had an account with me will have to get a new one and I'll be pm'ing people when their new account is ready.

Damn! I never even thought to back up that kind of info.

Well it's 2:30 on the morning here and everything is just about done. However logins and passes will have to wait till tomorrow.

For those that can't wait, uploads are enabled:p

I need a new account too. :)

So you need to replace the hard drive? How big is it now? Big enough to upload some DC games?

It was just my OS hard drive so it was only 9GB but it was a scsi drive so it's a little more expensive to replace.

Check your PM kohc

I tried the uploads account but there didn't seem to be any directory structures ?

Not sure if my machine's connection is just getting thrashed at the moment or if it's something else ?

Just checking then... are virtual directory structures set up in ServU ?

Hmm it works for me. Is your ftp program using cache? if so hit refresh.

What is it that you see when you logon?

I think my ISP (or possibly australia in general) is having bandwidth problems at the moment... all sorts of sites (and your ftp) are behaving strangely (timeouts etc).

I'll give it another bash later tonight. Thanks for the cache tip... I flushed that and got a bit further.
Cheers,

I've attempted to uploaded these files to
/uploads/release/

without success :(

DreamCast.KOF2001.rar
DreamCast.KOF2001.retry_upload.rar
Sega Saturn-Panzer Dragoon Saga-CD1-4 (us) eviled.rar

I couldn't resume the KOF2001 upload for some reason.

ivwshane, can you please delete these files ?

I'll try a couple of other ftp programs.
Cheers,

Release.

The only FTP program you need is FlashFXP ;) I have tried them all (basically) and it blows them out of the water. Never failed a resume either.
