Im pretty sure the PC should see that new Starwars game thats coming out.

Hmm....

Starwars Galaxies I think its called.

You will be able to roam free in the starwars galaxy as any number of lifeform. Wookie to Bounty Hunter I do believe!

Then you can do whatever the buggery you want. Meet up with buddies and form a gang. Then beat up and take over some unsuspecting settlement somewhere.

At least I think thats the theory. 512RAM 2ghz and a GeForce 4 anybody? :D

Heh here is a nice quote from the site...

'We have not yet finalized the minimum system requirements. We expect to update this information in March. It is our goal for the game to run on the average system sold in 2002'

Anyway if you want to check out the progress here is the link to the official site.

Star Wars Galaxies

Check out the features section for what you get in the game. 30 professions no less and the ability to dance LOL

Every MMORPG(massive multiplayer online RPG) requires a fee to play. If you only play one game for a long time and like to see add-on quests and stuff it's actually not that expensive.

Sadly, there is no MMORPG without monthly fee. I know some people have hacked server program to run Ultima online on their server. But I don't know how to do that and doubt anyone is willing to share those kinda server (bandwidth just cost too much).

there is one..tibia :o

i played it for almost a year, and after a BIG lag on day and pk's, i lost 4 levels, my armor, my FREAKING 500 platimim pieces, and the best? 2h sword in the game

after that i stopped playing.there is,of of course, a fee to enter non-charted places adn new abilities, but overall the game is free, an dthere is a BIG land to look

p.s.--if u decided to try it out, good luck.the game is mosttly 8bit/16bit..liek all online games, it can get, frusturating

I played a free one once. My brother was playing it and I remember it being in hugely basic 3D graphics. You could talk to anybody in the land and there was loads of people about. Im not quite sure of the point of the game but it was always fun to pick a victim and terrorise him relentlessly for no apparant reason! HAHA!

I was just gonna ask that too!

Ping Killer maybe?!?

Buggers up the speed for everybody else like you get in Ricochet matches sometimes. If a serious lagger enters the game everybody complains.

PK=Player Kill, some people found it's more fun killing other players than monsters.

Good PKers do it as duel of the best. Lamers do it to steal other people's items.

Never used to bother stealing their stuff. It was just funny to watch them complain 'oi leave me alone' and all that.

I think we were entry level anyway so couldnt have been knocked down and never took it seriously enough to be even bothered in the slightest if we died.

Yes, well the game is http://www.runescape.com. You can't just attack people anymore though! You have to go into the "Wilderness" and fight there. It's free and loads of people play it.

Quoting PCZone - "There's just one problem. That's right, it looks absolutely pants."
