DivX Codec Problem

Okay, I'm trying to make some .hack//DUSK VCDs and whenever I try to open the files in VirtualDub (to extract the audio), it gives me this error:

This obviously has something to do with DivX codecs, but I'm pretty new to DivX, so I don't really know what I need to get. Does anyone know specifically what codec I need to get and where I can download it?

I already have the DivX Player, but I think I need a specific codec. Heck, I don't really even know what the hell a codec is. Any help would be appreciated...

If you can already watch a DivX movie, then I would suppose that you could convert it to VCD format using whatever program it is you are using....

The only program I've ever burned a VCD with is Nero, unfortunately I'm not familiar with VirtualDub.

Well, didn't you have to convert the DivX file to an MPEG? VirtualDub just dubs the audio from the video file and then I use TMPGEnc to encode the video and audio data together.

I got 8 mile and The 2 Towers on VCD and was wondering what you need to convert an AVI or MPEG to a VCD.

My friend just bought a DVD burner and wants to start downloading films and burning them.

I'd get free movies if I showed him how to do it :D

Nero just automatically converted avi's, non-compliant mpegs, whatever to a VCD format.

Oh... well, then apparently I'm wasting my time.
