Postby Zep on Thu Jan 16, 2003 8:59 pm

i recently downloaded Final Fantasy 7 (PC version) off kazaa (whoo hoo!) but the damn file was ripped of it's movies and sound. Could anybody direct me to a magical place where i can get these files?

Sheesh! I dont know. Dude never shows for like a month and the first thing he does when he comes back is issue a request for files before he dissapears again ;)

Nice to see you dude and if anybody knows where to get a working version of FF7 I would be interested too. There was a rumor they were re-making it with all the frills and stuff but so far tahts still just a rumor.

Not sure where you can get the missing files only. If you're willing to redownload the whole thing (4CDs, 1.8GB) you can try it with eDonkey. Be aware that eDonkey will be slow for older files.

Also, FF7 runs best with Glide. So you might wanna use either Voodoo series card or get a glide wrapper to see the great summon spell effects.

I believe I have 2 copies somewhere in my house..... I'll try to dig it out if anyone wanna buy it off me. :)

Can you get a glide wrapper for the Nvidia Geforce series?

Errr other than that I'd reccomend trying some warez group sharing forums, get in with them first and then just keep requesting what you want.

Eventually you might get lucky :D

eDonkey is another P2P program. Not as popular as others because it's a lot slower but has few unique features that many people (include me) like. The best feature of this program is it will check the file while you're downloading for corruptions. If any part of the file was corrupted it'll simply drop that section and try to download it again.

There are several different programs use eDonkey's network. The original eDonkey (http://www.edonkey2000.com) or eMule (IMO the better choice than others, http://emule-project.net) are the best 2 choices.

Don't even bother with most warez forums. It'll be difficult to find old games on most of those places.

AFAIK, most of the Glide wrapper works with nVidia and ATI cards. Some might work better than the others, just give it a shot.

Again, this game is old and it'll be very difficult to download it from anywhere. The best way to get this game might be your local second-hand game stores.

Are you thinking of downloading the movies and trying to stick them back in?

wow that's a cool link SH.

unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a patch / crack. i looked through the forums and saw that lots of people have downloaded the same version as me (off kazaa) and are having the same sort of problems.

it's no big deal, i could probably buy it for a tenner....

saying that though, i did see the PS version of FF8 for £9.....

i might buy it and run it on my PC with ePSXe :D

Yeah thats a good cheap way to do it.

Only thing is the graphics look nicer on the PC version if I remember rightly but I guess thats no biggie if you like the game.
