Help with full PC game downloads...

I decided to try to find some full PC game downloads on Kazaa, and I downloaded Soldier of Fortune 2, Grand Theft Auto 3, and Virtua Cop 2 (it was small...). Anyway, Virtua Cop 2 worked fine, Soldier of Fortune 2 took forever to install and some of the sounds aren't working, and GTA3 installed fine, but won't work. I mainly need help with GTA3. Everything looks like it should work fine, it seems to have all the needed files, but when I try to open the game, it acts like it's about to load it, but then it won't do anything. It won't even open it. Any help with GTA3?

is your GTA3 a rip or an image file? (iso, bin etc)


If its an image then you may need to download the crack

If it's a rip I probably can't help, those are a pain in the ass

I'm new to PC gaming, so I don't really know what a rip is, but it's not a CD image. It was sort of a Winzip style extraction and it really seems like it should work.

It sounds like you have a rip, how big was the download? hmm I guess if it's not an image file then it would have to be a rip. I don't know what's wrong then.

I don't remember exactly the file size, but it was realistic for a PC game. I think near 200 MB.

Rips are often a pain in the arse. Its sort of where somebody extracts the game data from a disc and strips out things like CD audio tracks to keep tthe size down. THen they crack the game and make an installation exe to install the game.

I've had loads of probs with them.

I think I'm just gonna get rid of these files. I already have GTA3 for PS2, anyway. Virtua Cop 2 was kinda dumb, and SoF2 just wan't wasn't working well. I had to get a CD key generator for it, too. Oh, well...

GTA3, had it been a image file, probably would have been 600+ mb I'm guessing, it is two discs.
