It's not. The text on that screen measures 64x24 characters. The GameBoy has a resolution of 160x144...and although it could display readable fonts 6 pixels high, there is no way to get anything readable out of 2 pixels wide. The bare minimum for most characters is 4 (3 for the character and one for spacing)...and even that would be an eyesore.
(Hint: Squint a lot)

Of course, even if it were possible for the GB to display that text...a mere picture would still not prove that the GB hardware was even running anything at all (consider the Spartan Mimic, the Apple ][ emulator for C64...in truth it did all the work, and only required a C64 for it's keyboard).

Yeah, you can't tell if anything is REALLY hooked up to that Gameboy, in fact it looks like everything's just been glued on.

I wish I had a digital camera, I'd tape some shit onto my Gameboy and email Retrogames, telling them I just made an Amiga emulator for Gameboy. The dumbasses would probably give it some credibility. They'd post the link to it, just like they did with the pic of the Gameboy running Unix.

The screen in that pic looks good though. If it is a hoax then its obviously taken the guy a while. Hats off to him.
