Nintendo releasing the NES???

Yep it could be happening although I'm not sure how much of the world will see it.

Following the huge success of emulators and second hand sales of the NES in Japan, Nintendo have decided to re-release the NES. What form it will take I dont know and how they plan to release games I dont know either but wouldnt it be cool to get 100 of your old favourites on 1 little card?

Time will tell.

heh, I thought I was going to get to make fun of someone for posting news that's over a decade old

I'm sure it would be an emulator for the GBA

besides, there's a game for the N64/DD/Cube that has a NES in your character's hut, and you can get Nintendo made Nes games to play in it

I think Miyamoto said something about putting this into a cube game in the future

Right, I have to admit to not understanding either of the 2 posts above this one.

Yak - What mistake did Sega make? I never used the DC's online capabilities so I never heard about anything like this. Whats it all about?

SEGA Japan had a service for a while where you could download MD/G games to your DC.

Where it went wrong was that you had to pay by the game and you only got to keep the games for as long as you kept your DC turned on.

LOL That is by far the most lame piece of shit idea I've ever heard. Who the hell wants to pay for something you lose after switching off???

100 titles on a little card would be sweet though. I'd buy one if they offered that, the chance to play my old games again for real!
