Nintendo will persue this, I'm guessing. Remember about 1 year or maybe 2 years ago, they were threatening lawsuits to a lot of sites, ordering them to remove their SNES roms and emulators?
I haven't seen them go after SNES for a while now, but I'm almost positive that they will go after GBA roms and emulators.
I'm very curious to see the Castlevania on GBA, but I haven't downloaded it or the emulator.
What should happen to make sure that this doesn't affect the rest of emulation is that sites with any scruples should boycott GBA emulators and roms, at least for a little while. If and when the GBA establishes itself and Nintendo doesn't feel threatened, lift the ban.
The only point that I can agree with on the Nintendo quote from above is:
"since they can only be played on a PC do not bring the uniqueness that GBA as a handheld console can bring"
I can't agree that long term emulation is bad (I think we've discussed the morality of emulation before)
