Multiplayer madness NES!

Sometimes Even Console Emulation Can be Deceptive

Multiplayer madness NES!

More than anything else I like to play multiplayer games. Anything from 2p fighters to puzzle games like Puzzle Bobble.

I was wondering what peoples general views were on the best 2 or more player games out there. Starting with the NES which I know is only 2 player and then the DC.

I chose these 2 because I have a nes emu on the DC and like to take it where ever I go, usually to my sister's place.

Soon as another DC emu is up to speed I'll ask about that.

So, what are your views on the best NES and DC multiplayer games??

Hehe just about the only two player games I play on DC are fighters (Soul Calibur, SF vs. SNK, Street Fighter anything really.)

Of course there's Looney Tunes Space Race and Wacky Races.

There's Ready 2 Rumble: Round 2 which is a lot of fun!

And the ultimate two player game on the DC IMO is the modern day pong, Virtua Tennis It also allows up to four players.

As far as NES goes, I don't think it was meant to be a multi-player console.

That being said, they still made some great two player games like:

Contra
Double Dragon II & Double Dragon III
Basewars (Baseball with cheesy fighting robots )
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Manhattan Project
Blades Of Steel (Great announcer! LOL)

Really, most of the baseball games are pretty good, and they're mostly two player.

I'm more of a Bubble Bobble or Snow Bros man myself.

I now have DreamSNES though so I'm gonna give that a try with my all time favourite multiplayer game Super Bomberman!

Hope its up to speed with that one.

Btw I've already created one coaster because of the vague instructions they give you on making a roms disc. I think I'll try dumping the roms in the root rather than in a directory called 'roms' like they have suggested. That totally didnt work.

I'll let you all know what the outcome is.
