N64 ROM request

Sometimes Even Console Emulation Can be Deceptive

N64 ROM request

Postby Silverhaze on Mon Mar 03, 2003 4:35 pm

Ok somebody I know really wants to play Pokemon Stadium 2 on the 64. I think hes got emus already to play it on but has never found a working rom.

I admitted to playing smackdown and liking it so my gayness has already be commented on. It cant get any worse now so I thought I'd request for him.

Thanks you gorgeous bunch of stud muffins!!:lol:

Come on dudes!! I cant stand pokemon.

Is this rom available or not?!?

Oh and Were, you should be glad you dont live in the UK. We even get bloody gay sex scenes in otherwise fairly innocent comedy shows let alone all the other programs that seem intent on promoting it all like its something cool to be a faggot.

Even that poxy 'Im so beautiful' song by that dozy tart Agulara or waht ever her name is has 2 guys eating eachothers faces, full size on the damn screen.

Its not really necessary is it. We hardly ever get nice fit women snogging like that on tv.

We had a show a while back called 'Queer as folk' and it was basically an excuse to show unacceptably graphic gay sex scenes. It was fucking sick and of course all women thought it was great and never stopped talking about it. It even contained some dirty old puff that seduced a boy that hadnt even left school yet.

Ive never bothered with N64 emulation. Whats its quality and what kind of PC do you need.

I guess theres one that will take advantage of a gfx card. Or at least I hope so. I might play some games I've wanted to try like Conkers Bad fur day.

Your going to have to go though a graphics card whether you like it or not. Its about time somebody took the time to do a proper N64 emulator, processors speeds are up to it thesedays and it be nice not to be restricted only to games that can be handled by shitty HLE. Still, I doubt anyone is interested now it doesent have kiddie warez worship value anymore and that almost all the popular games are playable with no major problems.

If your going to use an acceptable one like PJ64 you'll at least need a machine from the nicer end of ghetto, but theres are some crappy ones that will run a couple of dozen games on paperwieghts.

Your 600 will handle the majority of games fine, one of the major bottlenecks is your GFX card. How much memory does it have?

My gxf card has 64mb onboard. That surely should be enough.

Yesterday I downloaded Mario Kart 64 off shane cos it was only a small file. Under 10mb I think.

I tried Ultra HLE and some other emu that was rated quite high. Dont know the name though.

There seems to be a problem with the rom though. I got some glide wrapper files that it was asking for but with one of the emus all it did was give me a grey screen and in UHLE it just said error loading rom.

That sucks. Are there any websites that hold 64 roms. Shanes is great and everything but I can only get about 15kb per sec on it so it takes ages only to find I have a duff rom.

ur best bet is go on a certain time where nobody is on or ask ivwshane to increase ur download rate(but probably impossible)

anyway, its taking me days(dozens) to get the sega stuff, but im not complaining  ,except for cadallics and dinos, which are corrupted.

DOH

http://www.smiff.clara.net has compatibility lists for all of the emus out there. The best two are Project 64 and 1964.

His speed is capped anyway so theres nothing he can do about it.

Thanks Damian, I'll have a look into that and try Ultra64 with that mariokart rom I got.

I find that place can be really slow and the servers are often closed down or password locked.

Hey, Pokemon Stadium 2 is pretty damn enjoyable!
ESPECIALLY if you buy it (should be CHEAP by now) and have Pokemon Red/Blue/Gold/Silver/Crystal.
It kicks ass.
