Saturn CD's

Sometimes Even Console Emulation Can be Deceptive

Saturn CD's

Postby release on Thu Feb 27, 2003 8:35 pm

Anyone got links (other than litespeed) for saturn cd isos ?

I saw the other day in EDGE that Dracula X was released on Saturn !

(I knew all the other titles... Metal Slug (needs the 4 meg expansion), Panzer Dragoon Saga etc)

Pity my Saturn is busted... off to ebay or cash converters i guess.

BTW I have tons of saturn games, I anyone wants me to burn/upload them. I'll post a list tonight.... two gems are Virtua Racing and Virtua Fighters Megamix !
Cheers,

Release.

Can the Saturn play "backups" in a vanilla state? If so I would be rather interested in the cream of the crop Saturn games. Any chance of a small list of the best ones? If you have Panzer Dragoon Zwei or Saga that would be great as I lost my copy :\.

I think you game play games in a "vanilla" state, using the swap-trick.

I'll post a list when I get home... but I can tell you now that I have got Panzer Dragoon Zwei. Unfortunately I don't have Saga, though I still check all the Game Trading stores and ebay for it.
Cheers,

Release.

The swap was a pain in the ass, since saturns are now a little harder to find I'd rather not mess it up.

I'm waiting patiently for saturn emulation though.

Current CPU speeds.

Saturn/ST-V is packing dual 28mhz SH-2 CPUS, a maths coprocessor, 22mhz worth of sound processing and a monstrous graphics system using two 32-bit VDPs.

I bought an Action Replay from http://www.liksang.com/ which supposedly will let you play backups without the swap trick (though I haven't tried it yet).

Otherwise you have to use the swap trick (which does require a minor modification to the saturn).

I'm looking forward to seeing the next build of satourne released.
