All of getting your PS2 chipped and finding a place to download them I believe.

There is I site I go to for PC games and progs that is something like http://www.kickme.to.d-forums

you might be able to find it using google, if not I will post the proper link later.

I havent ever copied a PS2 game though and dont fancy chipping my PS2 all that much really. Plus I dont know of a place to get it done or buy a chip or mod pack.

depends on the rip

Postby Pdaimaoh on Fri Nov 29, 2002 12:26 am

many rips are made available as CDs, so you just need a CD copying program that fits whatever extension/filetype you end up finding

other rips are kept as DVD rips, then you need a DVD burner, and again, same as before

ive seen a dvd burner at staples for 500 bucks(canadian) this week..that is the lowest ive seen for a dvd burner as of yet.

you have to figure what u want to get copied(movie/game) since dvd blanks can run as much as 10 bucks each.

Hmm now thats an interesting thought.

I know in PC world you can get those black CDRs. If I can find out if the PS2 reads these then I might have a go at burning one or two.

I have black cdr's, there's nothing that different about them.

To burn PS2 games to a CDR you need:

A modchip
A Gameshark
To download the rips

I have a program called DVD wizard pro that a buddy of mine that has broadband downloaded from KAZAA. I had seen it advertised in popups so I decided to give it a try. It claims it will decode and rip anthing from dvds gamecube games x box games and ps2 games. I dont have any of the newer consoles so I havnt tried it out yet. It comes with a program called Rips it All. I think you can download it somewhere on the net for free. :D

The whole size is the same and the little dvd's only hold about half a regular dvd.

You can also buy those mini dvd's, bestbuy a major electronics store carries them.

I would imagine like any copied game the gamecube would require a chip to play them. And let's not forget about the price of a dvd burner, although they have come down they still aren't cheap ($200-250us).
