emu.kulichki.net/pristavka/en

this site has several emulators and games, though not too much on the "complete" side, it's got a lot of what it does have

I used it to rebuild my lost NeoGeo collection

the best part is the main site is in russian, and the descriptions of the games on the english mirror look a LOT like they were run thru a web translator
well that might not be the best part for those who still need the roms, but it's the best part if you already don't care if the description helps at all...pcengine links seem to be broken, though

also don't forget that the vault at
http://www.classicgaming.com
still has a lot of stuff

yep this Metal Slug X works!!! I beat it for the first time!!! Thanks Pd

It was even a little bigger than my old one too... 0.3MB larger than my old MSX, maybe that was the problem... I got my original a long time ago from GeoShock.

Apparently there is a patched rom now that will stop the lockups. I read something about it over a retrogames i think

Sorry man... it does lock up... I tried to beat it again and she froze on level 3

Then I went to mame.dk and the version of MSX they are using is different once again! I tried that one too and it also froze, though it played fine under MAME, but I prefer RAGE.

Where does it lock up at? I'm pretty sure I've played MSX all the way through once or twice. I might be wrong.

It appears to be completely random... just about anywhere seems to do! I read somewhere that a protection lock applies to this game... it doesn't lock up in MAME because MAME emulates the protection, but RAGE doesn't!

What did happen to the authors of RAGE, did they ever actually say they were quiting a'la Dave, was it implied or what? I hope they make one last RAGE now that SNK is forever Dead!

NRX definately locks up with MSX. I've had it happen as early as the second level before but never on the first. All you can do is try to save the game as often as possible with the quick save key and load your state back up again afterwards. Bit of a pain bit if you want to play with edge enhancement thats the only option really.

I might have been thinking of MS2 that I've played all the way through, I'm going to have to try MSX tonight, now. I'll take your advice and save often, SH.

Sure enough, it locked up in the stage right after the subway (stage 6?) It was MS2 that I was thinking of before.

I might try finishing it today as well to see if/when it freezes up.

Yup locked up for me too (what a waste of time) on stage 5 just before the boss. Hmm it seems like the game locks up at similar times, maybe the protection kicks in later on in the game so you can insert as much money as possible? I've no idea.
