Looking for the newest GBA ROMs, in english? Of course you are. Why waste time downloading Japanese ones you can't understand, when all you really want to do is play Castlevania?
For your english gba rom needs, come to the holy city of gba emulation, GBA Mecca:

Interesting site. How many roms do you have?

Ha, I should have bothered looking 5.

You have some bad pop-ups though. Go here and see if you can find some decent script (if you can't it has links to places where you can i.e universal pop-up killers)

Yeah, I know about the popups... some sponsor I signed up for... they actually pay per popup, but since your complaint is about the 4th I've got, I may take them down soon...

And yeah, only a few roms now, but these are all the english dumps as of now.

Anyway, thanks for looking at it...

If anyone tried the site the last few days, it was down, due to a combination of a screwy web1000 account, and a screwy freehost. Its all fixed now, for now...

I know what you mean, I wish there were someplace that didn't give a shit if you hosted roms.

That will only remain a wish, though.

The GBA is kind of the long overdue replacement for the ol' Gameboy. Since it plays not only most of the old games but will have new titles as well (original games based on old licenses and some remakes of SNES originals i.e. F-Zero)I can't see Nintendo manufacturing the original GBC beyond this Christmas.

It has a better screen thats for sure. Nice display and colorful. Not sure on the battery life yet.

Does the GBA play GB games then? Sorry to sound stupid here but I really havent paid any attention to this thing what so ever, I dont know a thing about it other than what it looks like.

What was the battery life like on the GBC with a full 4 pack of Duracell extra power things in it and does the GBA have its own custom rechargable battery or will it take standard AAs

Oh yeah, what do the carts look like and how much can they hold?

there are some large Snes games out there...RPG players would know...

and it's NOT totally different than a Snes yet! most of the games are almost direct rip offs of Snes crap or Snes era crap (okay, so much of it is NOT crap, but if you played it on the Snes, you've already played it...)

The average SNES rom is probably 1MB, except for rpg's, which are usually around 3 MB, it seems.

Yes the GBA is backwards compatible and can play GB carts.

No idea about the battery life of either, but be sure that it won't be as good as the B&W GB unless there is some sort of hardware wizardry going on.

The carts can hold massive amounts! Many of the ones I have downloaded are between 2 and 3 MB which on average is larger than SNES ROMS.
