There should be an option for "keep alive" or something to that affect. I use smartftp and have the keep alive button checked but still every once and a while I get disconnected. I think some ftp's might have a speed requirement, meaning if you are not fast enough then you get kicked.

Man, you paid for warez?!?! That is insane.

You could buy a burner for $50-150 and it will pay for itself in less than a week.

Damn I am so sick of having to child mind my pc while it downloads these bloody games. It wont stay connected if I am not watching it like a hawk. Soon as I leave for work it cuts it and soon as I go to sleep it cuts it.

Its not AOL cutting the connection but the ftp. Is there a way to get Bullet proof to reconnect and resume?

I dont mean dial up my ISP again, so long as that stays connected is there anyway to re-connect to the ftp and resume the downloads automatically??

Yeah get yourself a burner mate its so simple that even I can do it! LOL

Download the zipped ISO, unzip it, burn it, play it!

I've heard lots about this soldier of fortune game now. THink I might get myself a copy when I'm done with DC.

You could get it for DC

I'm on Max Payne right now, it's strictly an action game, but entertaining anyway.

It's got a good story but don't expect loads of depth in the gameplay like with Deus Ex.

A cool feature is 'bullet-time' which slows everything down in your perception. If you know someone is lurking around a corner, it's fun to use your bullet-time ability and leap past the corner while filling them with lead.

Yeah go for it jrucyber its worth it.

So far I have downloaded with a 56k and burned the following:

Virtua Cop 2
Soul Reaver
Stunt GP
Exhibition of Speed
Super Street Fighter 2 GM Challenge
Super Runabout
Dave Mirra BMX
Crazy Taxi 2

And its only taken me 2 weeks or so.

I've got somebody willing to up Guilty Gear X for me too if I can find a suitable pub so I'm off to do that now. Should hopefully have it by this time tomorrow if all goes to plan.

Its very short tho, something like 7-10 hours gameplay? Seems a lot of PC games thesedays are far too short, even RED ALERT 2 was easier to get thru tnan the previous games.

I think ill snap up that cheapo £50/60 burner i saw at Special Reserve.

Yeah it is. Its weird though because most of them are over 750mb in size. Adidas explained that its the audio that takes up all that room and its burned in a different way to the data. If an audio file was 1gig in size but not longer than 80mins in length it would fit on a CD. Thats how it works.

Most DC games are on 700mb CDs anyway so they burn without any problems what so ever. Its so easy it still makes me laugh and smile every time a new one is burned!

The only thing I have thats needed a boot disc is Virtua Cop 2 (Jap)

Everything else loads up by itself. Some of them have the hacker start up screens boasting about their breaking of the encryptions like you used to get with copied Amiga and Atari ST games.

Its like the good ol' days!

Most of the games you dont even notice anything different on, they just load up as normal straight from the burner into the console!

THese seem to work fine. I have made a couple of coasters so far now though. One where a game didnt unzip properly but gave me an iso none the less. It didnt work though. And yesterday I downloaded Jo-Jo's Bizarre adventure which gave me a .cue file and a .bin file which I dont really know what to do with yet. Think I'll ask adidas because simply burning the larger .bin file didnt work properly.

this may be late, but .bin/.cue go with CDRwin, you load up the CUE when you select the option to make a disc from your harddrive/image

the cue let's CDRwin know what to do

however, it's better to get the program 'bin2boot' and convert it all to a .cdi image, so that it self boots

and btw, I got JoJo last week

god I'm glad I couldn't find the game when I had money

what a SHIT game

yes, it IS that bad

when you compare JoJo and Pocket Fighter and you have difficulty determining which one is the deeper fighter, there's problems

think Darkstalkers

literally
like moving backwards in the series
the stands are a lot like the Vampire Savior special attack where characters got different effects like a mirror image or increased moves
but it's lacking quite a bit since there don't appear to be six buttons for attack, if even four

I usually play fighting games for quite a bit even after I know they suck, just to see the endings and whatnot

couldn't force myself to see more than one ending..the gameplay is stilted and just doesn't have a flow and since there isn't anything to really keep my interest....

I don't think it's a huge game, and I guess for the sake of seeing it for yourself
but the most god awful thing is that Capcom America brought us THIS trash, but is leaning/decided not to give us CapcomVSNK 2

it's tragic

Hmm, I still have not been able to get on these past few days. I still got your entry message "220-ivwshane's little pub
WarFTPd 1.80.05 (Dec 7 2000) Ready
(C)opyright 1996 - 2000 by Jarle (jgaa) Aase - all rights" but then it says ERROR [Data] connection refused in both anon and password mode.

When you originally put the ftp up I got in under anon, but after not in password mode as I assumed someone else was using it. Or maybe 5 people are on it constantly?
