Just to satisfy my curiosity, Anyone here know who came up with the whole TOP 50 rom site thing.? In the past few years I have rarely ever gotten any where even after I placed my "vote" I can understand a few popups but some of these things will drive you nuts. :x

I have tried many warez sites and rom sites over the years and I have NEVER come across one of those [VOTE #1] [VOTE #2] things that have worked.

They suck.

hate that top 50..best one was the top100

now that have "Nothing" anymore..better go to an undisclosed messegeboard/irc and get the roms there..

Back in the days when Emux was still around there was a top 25 that was pretty good.....

But that was quite a while ago

Oh yeah I remember that.

Heh I used that once and found a music warez site where the downloads actually worked, had no porn popups or banners and the files wernt corrupt!

It lasted about 2 months I think and I leeched it dry from work lol

Cant believe I used to use a file splitting program back then and take home about 40 floppies every day LOL

I was under the impression that Top 50 and Top 100 are based around who can bullshit the most about the amount of ROMs on thier site then what was actually there. It was a bit better back in the EMUX days, but not by much.

you know how difficult it was to take roms that were 20-40megs big (a la neo-geo) put them iin rar files(put them on disks as 1.66megs) and HOPEFULLY still error-free by the time i got home?..takes a freakinly 1-1/2 hours to INFLATE them..uhhhhh..
