Help. It's been a while.

Anyway, I just downloaded The Sims: Hot Date Stand-alone for my girl off of KaZaA and it isn't working properly. After I unpack everything like I'm supposed to I get this error message: "Sims.exe is not a valid Win32 application."

I went to groups in google and saw that many people had the same problem. They were getting some pretty reasonable answers so I tried them. Of course it was pointless because I have the pirated version and they probably purchased the real deal.

I need to know what I could do to get this to work. I know many others have had to download this same file and are running XP Home Edition, I saw when I was downloading from them.

Does anyone know anything about it or know anyone I can contact to fix it. She really wants to play and I have to make her happy so she can make me happy, if you know what I mean. Peace guys.

also, keep in mind that i have personally been seeing a lot of something called 'copy protection'. programmers have been using a really strong form of it. i know of 4 games that wont run on pirated copies. they are - might and magic 9, duke nukem- the manhatten project, diablo 2 and wizardry 8. Nm, I figured it out. All I did was download and install a no-cd patch. Good stuff. Peace.

i have a pirate version of diablo ii and the expansion pack

doesn't work on battle.net without an origianl serial number though :\

i don't really care for piracy, games are waaaay to expensive i think.

i went to buy tony hawk 3 for my xbox and it was about £50.

i'll wait till i find it on kazaa or something.
