What do I use?

I am having a few problems with super nintendo emulation. I was using ZSNESW for a while and today it stopped working. Well when I downloaded the file again at the official website it said that it can't run with 24 bit color. Only 16 and 32 bit. Well, the last one I had ran at 24 bit color with no problems until today.

So, does anyone know where i can find a really good snes emulator that can play using 24 bit color?

Snes9x?

the dos Zsnes?

or just change it for your emu
how hard is that? right click and then two more button clicks?

I don't think MESS emulates SNES, though I'm too lazy to check right now.

ZSNES does a really good job for me except for certain sounds like the lightning on Super Castlevania. It sounds all distorted.

Would there really be any difference between 24 bit and 16 bit colour in the display of a 16 bit machine??

I keep my colours set to 16 bit anyway since the human eye cant really see many more than that and it keeps the speed of the machine that little bit faster.
