Help with S11 emulation.

Postby M on Sat Mar 02, 2002 9:43 am

I understand how to use it and play it through dos, but i still don't know how to put it in fullscreen or change the frame skip on. I names the program s11.exe for my convinience, so here is what I tried:

s11.exe --fullscreen=yes

Why doesn't that work?

I also tried:

s11.exe --frame-skip=on

That doesn't work. How do I do it?

Read the documentaion and all will be revealed.

Its not a Dos program, it just uses a command line.

Dos, Command line, whatever, I read the docs and I did what it says, as you can see, and it isn't working. Can anyone else help?

As the docs say,s11emu --help will show the list of commands which hold all the answers. To point you in the right direction -

- Look at the frameskip listing and see what your doing wrong

- You need to use 2 extra commands to define your resolution to get --fullscreen to cover the whole desktop

Help with S11 emulation.

Okay, heres an example -

s11emu 2 --fame-skip=yes --win-size-x=800 --win-size-y=600 --fullscreen=yes

That will run Xevious 3D/G with frameskip and fullscreen at 800x600.

Just change the appropiate numbers to match your resolution and the game you want to play and youll be off.

Help with S11 emulation.

Here's what I did to run Xevious (as an example)

All of my s11 stuff is in the appropriate directories, make sure yours is too.

I right clicked s11emu.exe, then created a shortcut.

The shortcut will appear in the same directory. Right click it, then click properties.

Now, using Xevious as an example, click the 'Target' box, and simply add a space and then a 2.

So my target box looks like this:

E:\Namco\s11emu.exe 2

Click ok on the properties dialogue, then double click the shortcut to start the game.

Don't ask me what numbers correspond to what games, I have no clue! I just used Xevious as the example because that's the only one I know

ps add the appropriate switches after the number (fullscreen, resolution etc)
