Ok, first check out the front page news if you didn't know already and then give it your best guess.

Hmmm
might it be the release of MVSSF as this is the most begged for ROM? A new version of Kawaks? (yawnn) Real CPS2 algorithm cracked? CPS3 cracked? (yeah right!)

Or maybe his hacking buddies who are "doing" KOF2000 have told him secretly that they are releasing the ROM at this time as they seem pretty close?

If its a new game I'd be really happy if it was any of the following as I've never played any of them, or even seen them.

I'd like to experience some of em.

Eco Fighters
Progear no Arashi
Mighty Pang
Mars Matrix
Giga Wing
Battle Circuit

Well count out Mars Matrix and Giga Wing because they are both too new I think.

I have a feeling this might not be a new game though. But it is very hard to estimate.

Yeah unfortuneately I know those 2 wont be the surprise as they're both too new.

I'm just hoping its something other than another 2p fighter. A nice side scrolling beat em up wouldnt go a miss though.

I wish I knew if it was a game and which one so I could download the rom now. That is if it is a game I want to play, I haven't downloaded a CPS2 release since SFZA2.

It'l have to be something more signigicant
than another generic puzzler or fighter,or
the usual cps-2 title.

I doubt if it would be cps-3 or Naomi related either,far too soon .
Perhaps another form of encyption has been broken?

I hope it isnt KOF2000,but i know im in a minority there,who dont want it decrytpted
(yet).

Apparently its Raz's birthday in 5 days, so maybe his got birthday surprise for everyone (Or maybe a crime against emulation with MSHvsSF).

I don't give a shit if Raz ever decrypts another rom, or if he already has them decrypted, I don't give a shit if he ever releases the XORs.

I just didn't like his little stunt. I suspect that he didn't even plan on releasing anything until he saw what the general reaction was yesterday.

Damn, you should lighten up man.

Raz and CT were just having a laff like RB was with "heres modeler, only IMPACT DEV have the correct ROMs". People just get prissy about it because CPS-2 is overhyped and somehow percived to be an elite system or something.

It just makes me laugth that some people think that Raz is some sort of lamer or cunt just becasue his not releasing all the games at once, keeping it from becoming warez-emu like NG was or not providing people with free games when they want them.

Its not like emulation revolves around CPS-2 or that the games are any more important or superior then anything else that is being emulated.

I never said that he should release all the XOR's at once. I don't think emulation should revolve around CPS2, although it has been the center of attention for awhile.

I don't think Raz is a 'lamer' for not releasing all the XOR's. I like the fact that they are released little by little. It keeps things interesting.

I'm not looking at the situation from an emu standpoint. I'm looking at it as Raz is a guy who just wants attention. Don't you think he has enough already?

I'm all for birthday announcements. But why announce to the world that in five days something big is coming (or however he worded it) and then just say 'Happy Birthday to me!'

Come on. It was an attention grabber, and it was a lame stunt.

I respect the guy for what he's done for CPS2 emulation, but that doesn't mean that I have to like him as a person.

The hype was about "Its my birthday, XORs all round" rather then "Its my birthday, all this hype was about me muwahahahahaha".

They just decided to have a joke at the expense of the lamers by making them think all the hype was about him rather then the XOR-fest.

Whether you take the joke as it is or reading into it to draw some sort of conclusion about the CPS2shock team is totally down to yourself, everybody is entitled to thier own opinion.
