Emulation Dead?

Postby Factor-1 on Sat Aug 03, 2002 2:35 am

Seems like "console" emulation is dead. Not much work is done on the N64 and Sega Saturn emulators I noticed or maybe I'm blind. Perhaps someday a spark will happen where we all get along and make a kickass emulator that works 100%. : :D

Console emulation dead? Slow, but not dead.

There is a good emulator for all of the more popular systems, and most of them are updated fairly regularly.

And have you forgotten the recently emulated 32X? :P

LOL, Time Traveller and Holloseum. Thankfully Time Traveller was a laserdisc game so we wont see that gracing emulators anytime soon. Holloseum is in Modeler if you fancy giving it a whirl, but youll have to put your moniter in a toilet and surround it with mirrors to recreate the effect.

I want somebody to emulate that vibrating electric chair thing they made a few years ago, cant wait to hack a force feeback gamepad onto an armchair for authentic controls.

LOL you live in a strange world my man!

Oh, if you live anywhere near Chessington World of Adventures they still have one of those Addams family chair things although the smoke machine and the score printer kicked the bucket years ago. Shame, those were the only things that made it worthwhile.
