One of the features that most endears me to this system is how the games use the hdd to cache data, as the format of the future drive reads too slowly to stream. This will ensure the hdd does not seize up due to inactivity.

Getting rid of that annoying rumble was a great move, you'll really appreciate tipping the pad from side to side as if it were a piggy bank with that elusive penny; who knows what exciting virtual immersion this will unlock.

Wireless controllers are ok for some, but isn't it a better idea to plug them in first just to make sure it is really a controller? None of that always remote nonsense like the wii and 360, you'll happily be synching away via USB each session (until the non replacable battery wears out that is).

Televisions these days should be made to support the ps3, not the other way round. If a lot of televisions can't do a mere 720p with the ps3 they're faulty obviously, 480 lines will do them. No HD for you suckas.

Sony has always known best when it comes to game development, and they've extended their influence into the memory arena, showing the devs how much should be allocated for system and graphics memory, choice can be confusing after all.

Finally, PSP owners will be delighted that they don't have a steep learning curve when it comes to navigating this magnificent beast; the interface looks identical to their wee screen. What great brand consistency I must say, from the controllers to even the typesettings used on the machine and apparel; you would not be able to spot the difference 10 years ago.
