Personally I think Nintendo will go with optical medium for their home consoles and stick with carts for hand held.

That said though, those little discs the GC uses could be a viable option.

How many hand held consoles have there been that have not used cards or carts? It kind of makes sense to have as few moving parts as possible really but price wise, it pushes things up a touch too much.

Carts are pretty cool for when you are on the move. You can pretty much shove the little fuckers in anywhere without having to worry if you've scratched them.

carts costs more to make and that is passed on to the consumer..but i understand..
