Internet browsing on the DS is very near!

Great little write up there, although I question its neutrality since it is hosted on opera.com. Still, it looks promising and it might be worth buying a DS just for an extremely portable web browsing experience. (and you can play games! ;) )

My notebook pc doesn't exactly weigh a ton, but I could take a DS just about anywhere. And worse comes to worse, I'd rather have a DS stolen than my PC.

How about typing and sending e-mails?

well the article says you type with the stylus with a graphical keyboard that pops up when you want it to.

As for email, web email is fine apparently (yahoo, gmail, etc)

Yeah all games that use the DS wireless connection have a little qwerty keyboard that opens up for you to type on. You get used to it and can type fairly quick once you have.

I picked up my DS Lite on Friday and very nice it is too. Local wireless gaming is fun!

My only gripe is a bright pixel on the top screen. Its just the one so I think I'll call him Zep.

Im gonna visit Game today and see if they have a policy on such things but it being a bright pixel its not nearly as bad as a dead one and its only noticable every so often.

Well I went and asked the geezer in the shop and told him it was really annoying and since know the guys in there to say hello to at least, I got the benefit of the doubt. Im taking it back and swapping it for another one at lunch time today because that damn pixel is pissing me off!
