What size would you use for an arcade monitor?

I have just started the very, very early process of designing a mame cabinet (probably won't be built for at least a year). I was doing a preliminary search on ebay to get an overall idea of price but what I need to know is what side should I get?
I'm thinking of either 19", 25", or 27"

From what I've seen so far 19" seems to be the norm, so for autencity sake the 19" might be the way to go.

The cabinet I hope to make will be a two player up right and similar to vampire saviour.

Any thoughts?

If your just doing a 2x6 button upright then a 19 incher should do the job.

I would only get something bigger if I was building an all-purpose uber-cab or a big konomi-style 4-6 player job.

It will be a 2x6 but with a trackball and knob as well as 2 (1)(2) player buttons and I think that should cover every game except some shooters.

I looked at some tv's today to get an idea of size and I think 25" looks the best.

I would of thought that 25" would of been too big to look at in a standard sort of cab, you'd probably have to build something a bit deeper to get it furthur away from the standing position. 21" is probably the maximum you could put in the normal position and still see what your doing.

If your not short of money or space, you could get the 29" and build yourself a mini-deluxe sort of thing.
