Who would have thought that capcom would be able to take street fighter, a crappy controlling fighting game (I wounder if it was considered good when it first came out), and turn it into a multimillion dollar franchise? I just finished playing and beating the game and it's amazing how little has actually changed.
Go ahead and try it out, be sure to beat it to fully understand what I mean. Almost all the "normal" moves are present, like the fireball, the dragon punch, even the hurrican kick. Even the characters look pretty much the same, just check out sagat or gen.
Wow, I wish I could have been around arcades when it came out in 1987.
