New neogeo game!

Postby Sabin on Fri Jun 22, 2001 8:21 am

I was in an arcade today in downtown toronto and saw a neo geo with a new game sign where the marquee goes. I watched the intro and to my surprise i was standing infront of a sengoku 3 machine. Unfortunately i had pumped all my quarters into a KOF2k1 machine 2 minutes earlier so i couldn't play it but it looked pretty decent.

Oh so it's come out already, interesting..
Anyway,, as many people believe SNK are not totally dead just the US and european headquarters are. The Jap section has been bought up and they are still making games, although it is not clear for how much longer.

There aint much left of SNK japan either, most of the develpers left when they got brought out and took the rights to most of thier games with them (and ironically ended up at Capcom).

How much are those guys charging for their home carts these days? I remember when that thing was still fully available (I must have been about 13) the damn carts used to cost £120 upwards!!

As strong as the neo-underground is,mostly
neo- fans (not you rom begging leeches!! LOL
only jokin) trade of each other and buy 2nd
hand carts. This was fine untill a few years ago when "big hits" (as possible as big hits can get in the neogeo market) fel WAY below sales expectations, even in arcade markets.
SNK USA (RIP,not that they were any fucking use) made their feelings known what they felt of these people. But they wernt doing anything wrong, just looking for a bargain.

Metal Slug X sold very poorly as a result.
At this time, that asshole Dion Dakis and his
illetgitimate group Neogeofreak decided to cal themselves the "offical" AES/MVS cart distributers, with fake inlays and badly soldered pin-outs.He is the most hated individual in the neo world, like Tim Eckel is for emulation.
He upped the price for his crappy knocks off carts, some going as high as $1000!!

They should genrally be around $150/300 new,
about a third of that if you go to the more reliable sources, like supersellers in Japan.

I love to rant! Cant you tell?
