I hate to say it but I always thought that the arcade@home one was pretty good. Dunno if its still out there or if you want to dirty your hands with that site but its only a suggestion.

Wash your mouth out with soap boy!

I hear emuloader is meant to be good (and its one of the few frontends that talk to MAMEW).

Im personally sticking with the last official MAME32 until the new MAMEW core based vertion comes out.

Emuloader is about the only one that works with mamew, most of the other older frontends have problems with the new commands in mamew. Took me a while to get mamew working but its as good as mame32 when up and running, plus i like how its got more categories for game types. If you couldn't be bothered to try it just use stretchmame its got all the stuff after the offical release working (SFZ3 and others) plus its mame32.
