PCB Board Rom dump questions...

Postby rockman_kb on Mon Mar 25, 2002 4:49 am

Hey, Im new to this and I came to this board because everyone here seems like the most helpful and definately like you have the biggest wealth of knowledge about these things.

I recently perchased Dragon Ball Z 2: Super Battle, the arcade pcb board. I was wondering does anybody here know how I would go about dumping or getting a rom dumped from this board. What things do I hafta worry about or look for when asking for helping to dump this game, and also do I send the roms to mame so they can add them to a new build? Thanx in advance, and please let me know, I would love to be apart of bringing this great game to the net in all its emulated glory.. see ya!

Whoa! First off welcome!

Unfortunately I don't know about what goes into dumping a pcb but I'm sure someone here knows or at least can point you in the right direction.

Ok, just talked to Sixtoe (System 16.com admin) and he verified that the game is already dumped. If you still wish to attempt to dump it we might be able to come up with a solution, but PCBs differ so much there are many methods to dump.

Thanks for the offer, but it has already been dumped (by Guru)
It's on similar hardware to Konami XEXEX which means its very complicated, a couple of people have had a look at it in mame but its proving to be very hard work.
It'll happen, but it wont be quick or easy...

Wow, that was fast.. and very informative. Thanx for all your help guys... man it sucks that it's not emulated yet, but I know how hard of a job that can be, so Im willing to watch and wait. Hmmm, guess I'll hafta buy that super gun Ive been holding off on if I wanna get some movies and stuff of the game in action for my site.. again thanx a whole lot guys and I'll be around to bug ya some more in the future about dumping questions since Im supposed to be coming into a couple of good pcb's (most of which are already dumped, and some that Im not sure of)that I might want to dump. Thanx again everyone!
