MAME .100 released!!

Postby ivwshane on Thu Sep 15, 2005 9:59 pm

I don't know if anyone cares but .1 has been released. No one seems too excited about it so I guess it's not a big deal in the mame scheme of things.

Thanks to bit torrent though I've been able to keep up with all the releases and should have a complete .100 set soon:D

Heh I dont have a single rom on my PC anymore.

I suppose I could use torrents but....hmm so much stuff I'll actually use to download first.

Currently getting Family Guy the movie, uploading Far Cry and then I'll start on the torrent for Family Guy DVD rips of season 1,2,3.

About these mame torrents? Are they done like A-Z or what? The complete set even without those weird images has got to be over 10gig by now surely?

A load of Konomi music cobblers, mid-late 90s Midway stuff and assorted other odds and ends.

Almost all the complete mame sets don't include the images;)

I downloaded the images separately.

Nice. Actually I wouldnt mind seeing some of the more heavyweight games.

What do you think the limits of my system will be as far as mame goes?

On the old PC there were quite a few games that were too much for it like some of the racers. I think Crusin USA or something like that that had 3D gfx churned away on it at about 2 frames a second.

I have an Athlon64 3500 with a gig of RAM. Gfx card is obviously of no consequence.

Some of the 3d games are still unplayable. I think anything past tekken two will be unplayable (all of them are also chds).

The Galeco 3D games, the Midway 3DFX stuff, ST-V and the heavyweight Namco boards are out of reach regurdless of what you have.

As per usuall age and storage medium are irrelevent to performance, its just whats on the board(s) that are actually running the game that counts.

Heh I can live without Tekken. Only thing I really enjoyed out of the whole tekken series was tekken ball mode.

Im a Soul Calibur man and always will be.
